WHERE THE STAGE NAME “EMINEM” COMES FROM

American rapper, record producer and actor Eminem were born Marshall Bruce Mathers III on October 17, 1972, in St. Joseph, Missouri. At the early beginning of his career, when he entered the Detroit rap scene as a frequent competitor in rap “battles”, he started getting some respect and assumed the stage name M&M (the initials of Marshall Mathers) which he later began writing phonetically as ‘Eminem.’
